One of my favourite companies is WeWork. Founded seven years ago by Adam Neumann and Miguel McKelvey the Company has 172 locations in 18 countries with 150,000 members and 3,000 employees. Currently valued at around US$20 billion, it’s the third most valuable, privately held start-up in the US.
WeWork is redesigning the way Creativity and Innovation gets done – by reorganising workspaces around workers, automating everything, powering efficiency via data and figuring out how today’s jobs in today’s world best get done, how today’s people work, where they are most productive, what they need to feel good. Powering the People. Brilliant.
Adam says we are “Building a community of creators” (Consumr, HackHands, Whole Whale, Reddit, Turf, Coupon Follow and Fitocracy are all WeWork members), “WeWork is a place creators work to make a life, not just a living”.
