Sky sat next to me throughout our dinner at Franchin, our favourite restaurant in Nice last week. Our fourth visit there over the past five years. An art deco restaurant from the 1920’s with a low-key vibe and a great outdoor terrace on a small street just back from the Boulevard des Anglais. Sky is Chef Antoine Grandon’s soldier at arms.
The food is terrific – braided sea bass, pigeon royal, classic escargots. 30 year old Antoine, a decorated Gault and Millau young talent, is one to watch.
