The Farm in Winter

2025 sees us become full-time residents of the USA.

And, for any sceptics out there, I am becoming more positive on prospects for the US.  I believe the last four years of the Biden Presidency will be viewed by historians as being a social and economic disaster.

Whilst I have no personal admiration for President Trump, I think the early signs are that an intervention has been made, probably by his own family, and he is likely to put the US on the road to recovery – economically, internationally and socially.

I believe and hope he is a changed man.

I think he is genuinely committed to re-establishing the US as a powerhouse and to stimulating Europe to make the tough decisions that are urgently needed to re-establish growth and prosperity there too.

We have been living in Arizona for over a decade and have now added a horse farm conversion with Mark and Vanessa in Basking Ridge, New Jersey to our home portfolio.

Eight acres of woodland 40 minutes from Newark Airport and Downtown Manhattan.  In a lovely New Jersey community.

We have finally unloaded two 40 foot containers from New Zealand and have finished unpacking countless boxes.

Our offices are up and running, the art is hung, the wine room is temperature controlled, the Sonos speakers are programmed and the MasterChef’s kitchen is operating at full bore.

Family life, complete with three on-site grandchildren and two on-site dogs, is becoming the new normal and is an exciting addition to the autumn of our years (although now it feels like the winter of our years as you can see from the photographs taken this week).

This will be where the magic happens in 2025.
