A year ago I was in Dubai working through a revival strategy for an old friend’s business – Kimoha.

Kimoha is a successful label manufacturer founded by my old friend Vinesh Bhimani in partnership with whom I helped Procter & Gamble establish a leading position in Oman in the late 1970s.

We caught up for an update last week.

We spent the morning with Vinesh and his leadership team reviewing the progress made against the Blue Ocean projects we identified and agreed upon 12 months ago (KRC March 26, 2024).

It made for a very pleasant four hours as, for the most part, tremendous progress had been made.

It is absolutely amazing to see what can happen when a leadership team comes together and drives a Blue Ocean programme with focus, commitment and discipline.

We then spent time on 2025, focusing on the buckets of change and on DADA.

The business has been revived and the next 24 months should see us thrive.

The focus will be on moving from the Red Ocean of commodities into the Blue Oceans of innovation, Saudi Arabia and India.

The beat goes on.

Survive.  Revive.  Thrive.
