12 hour + flights to/from Vancouver Island to Istanbul, and then Istanbul back to the US last week, so plenty of time to spend on binge-viewing on my iPad.
Some recent shows we enjoyed.
- Road Diary. A brilliant doco on Bruce / The E-Street Band (KRC July 18). Disney+. A must see.
- And So It Goes. The bio of Billy Joel – told by Billy, produced by Susan Lacy and Jessica Levin. Five hours in two episodes. Quietly magnificent. With great interviews / cuts by Bruce too. Billy Joel, the New Yorkers’ New Yorker. An HBO Max classic.
- This City Is Ours. Intense BBC drama, well-written and riveting acting from James Nelson-Joyce and Saoirse-Monica Jackson. Shot in Liverpool about life in Liverpool. Series I available on BBC I-Player, Max and Prime. If you liked Mobland or Gangs of London (KRC May 1, 2025), this one’s for you.
- From Netflix – check out Untamed, Dept Q and The Waterfront.
- I’m a Bosch fan. He’s all over Prime and also in Ballard.
- And finally Lioness Season II on Paramount+ (and Prime) gets better and better.
Happy Viewing.
