Morning bike rides along the beach from Venice to Santa Monica, work-outs in Marina del Rey and fish suppers by the Pacific Ocean at the Blue Plate Oysterette in Santa Monica.
The highlight of our stay was a return to The Polo Lounge in the Pink Palace, The Beverly Hills Hotel – home of the Oscars, part of the Dorchester Group under the purview of Philippe Leboeuf, former GM at Raffles OWO.
Philippe arranged a night to remember in typical Philippe fashion.
Greeted at the door by the GM, Kerry’s own John Scanlon and then given royal and regal treatment in The Polo Lounge by Pepe, Gabriel, Evan and Randy.
A great night on the garden patio with champagne and oysters from Philippe, the best burger in the world and marvellous service.
The legendary Hotel California is back at its very, very best.
