We all need to do more with less.
So we need to structure and inspire our people to work together and focus on winning the year’s Must Win Battles.
None of us is as good as all of us.
How do we ensure we work together and align to deliver more with less debate, less meetings, less hesitation, less wasted time and less stress?
It all starts with two things:
- A shared Purpose, set of priorities, rapid decision-making and a shared commitment to Excellent Execution. (One Team One Dream)
- A unified way of structuring the work week. Since Covid, companies have struggled to increase productivity, to nurture talent, to secure alignment between functions and to develop leaders. One reason? People haven’t been working in the office together.
There is no silver bullet. No system will delight everyone.
I’ve seen many variations and many are still evolving.
An executive I know is hoping to implement a system – once all consults are finalised – of a four-day collaborative office week with a flex day (Friday) where employees can work in the office, in the field, or at home. I think this ticks as many boxes as any system I’ve seen and I have high hopes it will result in a Peak Performing culture delivering more with less – and playing – as a Team – to win.
