A few years ago the beck-side road to our Grasmere home was destroyed by severe flooding and we had to rebuild it. Now the reservoir has dried up because of the heat wave (in the Lakes!) and we have no water. No taps, no baths, no showers, no flushing, no ice. Jan and her trusted lieutenants Mel and Paul have secured bottled water supply as you can see from the photos. (I think we may have inadvertently caused the bottled water shelves in Booths Windermere to be emptied.)
This global warming stuff is real.
